Biography
Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México in 1958.
In 1976 studied English in Boston, MA. Obtain her certificate as a Written Translator in 1978 from the Instituto Mexicano Norteamericano de Relaciones Culturales in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México. In 1994 she finished her studies for Administration at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas for the US. Chamber of Commerce and the Institute for Organization Management.
In 1983 she was a founder of the Association of Interpreters and Translators of Monterrey.
In 1989 she was a founder of Desarrollo de la Cultura Ecológica, A.C. and is on the Board of Directors. In 1992 this non-profit organization formed part of the ecological programs at the Institutto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).
In 1995 she obtained a certificate as an Expert Translator from the Justice Department of the State of Nuevo León, México.
In 1998 she finished her bachelor degree in Administrative Systems in Monterrey, Nuevo León and at the same time a certificate of professional photographer from the School of Photography Ansel Adams in Monterrey, Nuevo León. In the year 2000 she recevied her certificate as a professional photographer from The New York Institute of Photography. Before becoming a professional photographer she worked for several business in Monterrey such as Vitro, Visa, Alfa, University of Monterrey and The American Chamber of Commerce of México, A.C.
In 2004 is part of the Asociación Nacional de Artistas Plásticos, Corredores de Arte y Anticuarios, A.C. (National Artist, Art and Antiquaries Association), and in 2005 she became part of the Board of Directors of Amigos de Plaza México in San Antonio, Texas and also became active member and actual Secretary of the San Antonio Astronomical Association and the San Antonio Astronomical Observers Group.
She had published her photographs in several magazines: American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico, A.C., Kodak Monterrey, Kodak México, D.F. and Beauty Foot. In the product catalog of Grupo TOR-REY. The calendars of 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008 of Imprenta Plata, S.A. de C.V. The City News a newspaper for the foreign community in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, and the front page of the book “My Existing Poems” (Poemas de Mi Existir) by Jesús Viviano Alvarez. All these were in Mexico. In addition, the San Antonio Express-News in San Antonio, Texas the picture “Sunset I” – Blue Ridge Parkway to promote Fotoseptiembre USA 2004. Participation in ayudARTE 2005, 2006 & 2008 in San Antonio, Texas.
Since 2004 she has had 20 exhibits; 5 individuals & 15 collective. Her first published photograph was in 1991.
In July 2004 she became an Americam citizen and currently she resides in the city of San Antonio, Texas in the United States of America.
